Below are enhancements we plan to make to the 3D Viewer based on feedback received thus far: Support 3D thumbnail fallback everywhere parts are shown : If a part has a 3D thumbnail and does not have a PNG, JPEG, etc. thumbnail , the 3D model preview will be shown in the following places for the part: Search Bar, Search Results, Order Suggestions in Part Details, Order Suggestions in Cart, Admin Center > Parts Grid (enterprise-4360). Improvements to the 3D Import Function: When importing a ZIP in Part Editor > 3D Tools, we plan to expose a list of filenames contained within the ZIP, to make it simple to select the correct Top Assembly Filename (enterprise-4356). Improvements to the 3D Import Function: Using "Browse" users will be able to build a list of multiple, non-zipped CAD files from different folders on your device without losing previously selected files (enterprise-4356). Disable Explode for Entire Model: We will be introducing an option to disable the explode function for an entire 3D Model (enterprise-4363). Set Default Viewing Orientation for Model: We will be introducing an option to set the default view orientation for users in the Library after importing a 3D model. The settings applied will be stored in local storage for easier application. This will be particularly helpful for files like U3D and Inventor files that use an "Up" axis default, which is not supported within our 3D conversion tool (enterprise-4364).
