What can we do to make it more obvious to users a part has 'Related Content'?
Erin Steinmann
Hello Parts Department, thank you for raising this — totally understand how frustrating it is when users don’t notice there’s a reason to click through. To help us narrow down the best way to make “Related Content” stand out, could you share where users are missing that cue today (for example: parts list/table, illustration hotspot callouts, search results, BOM view, etc.)? Also, what’s the main outcome you’re aiming for: driving more clicks into the Part Information Page in general, or making sure users see specific related items (manuals, service bulletins, videos, etc.) before they take action? Lastly, when a part does have “Related Content,” what does that usually include for your users — and is it consistently relevant/valuable, or only in certain cases?

Erin Steinmann We have a very low click rate percentage of parts when users are on a page in a Parts Manual. The primarily outcome would be driving users to the Part Info Page, as I don't believe there's a good way to provide them what the related content would be when they are viewing the page in the Parts Manual. As far as related content type, it's all different types and only on certain parts, which plays into the difficult part of users knowing when they should be looking for related content.
